Volleyball

Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams, typically consisting of six players each, are separated by a net. The objective of the game is to score points by sending a ball over the net and into the opposing team’s court in such a way that it cannot be returned. Players use their hands and arms to hit the ball, and the game can be played indoors or on a beach. The standard play involves a sequence of three touches per team to return the ball over the net, and teams can score points either on their serve (serve scoring) or when the opposing team fails to return the ball properly. Volleyball emphasizes teamwork, strategy, and physical skill, including jumping, serving, passing, setting, and spiking. The game is governed by specific rules defined by organizations such as the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) and is played at recreational and competitive levels worldwide.
